How to pull a picture from the document?
Instructions, technical passports, scanned books and other useful documents often contain not only text, but also illustrations. And if the text, if necessary, you can simply type, then a photo or a complex scheme will not be redrawn. However, this is not a problem, as pulling a picture from a PDF or DOC document is quite simple.
Extracting pictures from DOC / DOCX files
With constant work with the files of the text editor Microsoft Word, you can see that the images inserted into the document do not merge with the text. They can be reduced, rotated or deleted at any time.
The program also includes the function of copying illustrations to the clipboard, which you can use if you need to pull out a picture. To do this, you just need to click on it with the left mouse button, and then on the keyboard press "Ctrl" and "C".
The next step is to save the data from the clipboard to a file. To do this, you can install special software for yourself, but it will be much easier to resort to the Paint utility, available on every Windows computer. You can call it from the Standard folder, which is in the list of applications in the Start menu.
Having opened the program window, all you have to do is to press “Ctrl” and “V” on the keyboard - the image from the clipboard will appear on the canvas. Then you should go to the “File” tab and select the “Save As” option. This operation in Paint can be performed using the formats JPG, BMP or GIF.
If these three types are not enough, you should use a more functional image editor to save the image from the clipboard, for example: Photoshop, CorelDRAW, GIMP.
Extract images from PDF files
Retrieving photos from PDF documents may seem more complicated, because each page in such files looks like a "monolithic" image. Do not be afraid of this - nobody canceled scissors.
In almost every program for viewing PDF, the function of selecting and copying a part of a document is implemented. For example, in STDU Viewer, it is launched by clicking on the icon with a picture, which is present on the toolbar by default.
This function makes it easy to select a picture with a frame, press “Ctrl” and “C” on the keyboard, which copies it to the clipboard. After this, it remains only, as in the case of images from DOC files, to open the Paint graphic editor, press "Ctrl" and "V", and then save the finished document as a JPG, BMP or GIF image.
When you need to pull out all the images from the document, you can use the tools DeJPEG or PDF Image Extraction Wizard. In any of these small free programs, simply specify the path to the file with the .pdf extension and click the "Start" button. The disadvantage of this method is the duration of the whole process, which is especially noticeable on computers with a weak processor and a small RAM.
