How to get rid of the wasp nest?

Wasps are, in principle, harmless insects, as long as they do not intersect with humans. But what if unreasonable insects make their nest right in your attic, under a porch, or under a roof? It is dangerous to live near such a nest, it is doubly dangerous to try to shoot with your bare hands, so you can be in a hospital bed! How to get rid of the wasp nest safely and effectively?

Evict wasps

To ensure maximum security during the operation of eviction, you need to do two things: to protect your body in all possible ways (thick clothes and gloves, a mosquito net) and near the wasp house to place a saucer dish with syrup, sweet compote or the like. Clothing will help prevent the bites from aggressive wasps, and the sweet will distract those wasps that may return to the nest during the destruction of the nest.

Carefully prepared, and now you can choose one of the following methods:

  1. The most effective option is chemical exposure.Various insect sprays will help. Many advise "Dichlorvos". It is necessary only for about 10 seconds to direct a stream of poisonous substance into the hole in the bottom of the nest (called "taphole"). The wasps will start dying one after another. The most quick and aggressive will fly out of the nest and try to attack you. They can also be processed using separate zilch from a can.
  2. You can arrange a "gas chamber." To do this, pack the nest in a large bag without holes, tightly tie the bag, make a small hole in the bag and attack the insects with “Dichlorvos” through it, then close the hole of the bag. In this form, the nest should be left for several hours, and then carefully cut off and thrown away from the house.
  3. If the nest is located at the bottom, you can fill it with boiling water. Water will need a lot - about three liters. Another way to use water is to take a container in which the nest can fit, pour boiling water there, but not completely, and arrange the container so that the nest is submerged in water. Correctly calculate the amount of water - you need so much that the water could close as much of the nest as possible, but not to scald your hands. This “bath” must be kept for at least 5 minutes, then the wasps will die. After that you can gently remove the nest and throw it away.
  4. The most gentle way to get rid of wasps is to take a plastic bag, carefully put it on the nest from the bottom up, tighten it tightly and just get rid of this bag.

These are the most popular ways to get rid of the wasp nest. In order to prevent the wasps from building the nest again in the old place, remove all residues from the nest, treat the surrounding area with hydrogen peroxide or potassium permanganate, sprinkle some chemical substances and arrange adhesive tape. Then the nest in this place will definitely not be!
