How to disable autorun programs?
Many programs have the option "autorun on boot", which can be turned off during the installation of the program. If you pay attention to such options, then you should have much less problems with unwanted autorun. However, there are programs whose creators are deeply convinced that their program just has to be launched when the computer boots. By the way, sometimes it is really necessary - well, you see, the antivirus should start automatically, otherwise what is the use of it? So, if any programs run automatically when Windows starts, and you don’t like it, there are several ways to fix this problem.
In the list of programs there is a Startup folder (StartUp) in the English version. So, if you remove the program shortcut from this folder, the program will cease to start automatically. This method is the easiest, but it does not work on all programs.
And how to disable autorun programs more "stubborn"? On them, we can also find a board.
Click the Start button, then select Run from the menu. In the command line that opens, type msconfig. You have launched the Windows configuration utility. Find the Startup tab, it shows a list of programs that start automatically when the operating system boots. It is enough to remove the check mark for some program, and this program will no longer bother you until you start it yourself. The advantage of this particular method is that you can restore the program's autorun if you restart msconfig and return the checkmark to its place.
A way to consider yourself advanced users. Instead of msconfig, run regedit. Locate the following registry entries for autorun / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Run for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE sections. These branches contain program keys for autorun. You can delete a key from the context menu that appears when you right-click on a key. Tip: better not use this method.
