How to cook lazy dumplings?
Even in childhood, our grandmothers fed us lazy dumplings. Today they are rarely found in the menu of a cafe or restaurant. And many, unfortunately, have already managed to forget the recipe for these either dumplings, or pies. Dough for lazy curd dumplings
You will need:
- Cottage cheese - 500 grams;
- 2 eggs (or 3-4 yolks, optional);
- 1 tablespoon flour;
- 3 tablespoons butter;
- 2-3 tablespoons of sugar - to taste;
- Salt to taste.
Mince the curd through a meat grinder, add eggs, sugar, salt, butter. Stir to a smooth consistency. Add flour to the resulting mass and mix thoroughly again.
Dough for lazy potato dumplings
The process of making this dough is the same as in the past case. It is necessary to gradually knead the dough until smooth, be it cottage cheese or potatoes.To prepare lazy potato dumplings you will need:
- 500 grams of mashed potatoes,
- 100 grams of wheat flour (do not overdo it, otherwise the dumplings can be too hard), one egg and spices. You can also add fried onions.
Sculpting lazy dumplings
Divide the dough into three or four parts. Put some flour on the chopping board. Roll out the "sausage" with a diameter of about two centimeters. Cut it into pieces of 1.5 centimeters. Form a "round" thickness of six to seven millimeters.
Cooking lazy dumplings
Dip the "rounds" in boiling water and, after boiling again, boil for 6-7 minutes, then, by analogy with pasta, drain into a colander, rinse with cool water and add butter. Stir.
