On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression, the Prime Minister complained that the actual leader of the USSR cannot be brought to justice. Dmitry Medvedev spoke sharply about Stalin and other leaders of the Soviet period, saying that they were at war with their own people.
- For what happened then, not only Joseph Stalin, but also a number of other leaders, certainly deserve the toughest assessment. They can not be held accountable, but it is. It must remain in the annals of our history, so that this will never happen again. Because the war with his people is a grave crime, ”said Medvedev, speaking before the activists of the regional branch of the United Russia party.
With his statement, the Prime Minister confirmed the point of view, which he outlined while he was president. Dmitry Medvedev still believes that there can be no forgiveness for Stalin’s actions. At the same time, the leader of United Russia urged his party comrades to objectively evaluate the events without crossing out the glorious pages of the history of the Fatherland.
